Biography

Goalkeeper Kian Johnson returns to Rossington Main having come full circle with the club, having first joined Rosso during the 2020/21 season before the COVID-19 pandemic brought that campaign to an early end. Kian came through the Doncaster Rovers academy before his release saw him move into senior football with Rossington Main, where he went on to make 78 appearances for the club during his first spell. During his development, the goalkeeper also spent time training with both Derby County and Notts County. Johnson then took his career overseas, moving to the UAE to sign professional terms with Dubai City FC. After two seasons in Dubai, he returned to England and continued to build his Non-League experience with the likes of Bottesford Town and Gainsborough Trinity. Last season, Kian joined Scunthorpe United on non-contract terms while also being dual-registered with Grimsby Borough. He was also on the books at Buxton before making his return to Rossington Main in August 2026. Now back at Oxford Street, Kian will be hoping to add to his 78 previous appearances and play a key role between the sticks for Doncaster's highest ranked Non-League club.
