Both goals came in a chance-laden first-half display in which Currie struck for his first goal in Rosso colours and Warne chalked up his opener for the season.

After making his return to the club off the bench in the win over Pickering Town, defender Adam Watson made his first start back at the club, with Kian Holloway dropping out of the starting XI.

Myron Gibbons also returned to the squad after sitting out the last four games with injury and went on to play almost an hour as Brad Grayson was withdrawn prematurely after facing difficulties having swallowed a tooth.

Main were quick to find their stride in West Yorkshire, making a bright start to proceedings and seeing an effort cleared off the goal line in the opening ten minutes.

Top-scorer Reece Fielding ought to have added to his hat-trick against The Pikes when dead ball specialist Mason Warren found him at the back post from his corner, but the captain slammed his right-footed effort against the upright from six-yards out.

It wouldn’t be long though before Main grabbed the first goal. Warne’s long throw was recycled on the edge of the area and Currie’s eyes lit up when the ball fell into his path after Scott Ruthven had the ball taken from his toes just before unleashing himself. The central midfielder duly swung a clean rifled shot into the bottom right corner to give Rosso the advantage on 16 minutes.

Main were relentless in their pursuit of a second, Ruthven coming closest from an acrobatic overhead kick which again was denied on the line.

A free kick on the far side five minutes before time allowed Warren to wreak havoc once more, this time opting to fizz it low for Warne to apply the decisive touch into the far corner and set Rosso up nicely going into the break.

Keighley had a couple of sighters in the second half but were able to claw one back with an outstanding free kick goal from about 25-yards that was sent dipping over the wall and past Kian Johnson by Malachi Bailey.

Gibbons almost marked his return with a bang, picking the ball up on half-way, turning one defender and jinking past the other to fashion a shooting opportunity, but it proved too much to do alone and a Town defender slid in to block his shot.

The game fizzled out from there with Johnson barely having to make a save, allowing Greg Young and Ben Hunter’s side to celebrate successive league wins.
