During the close season of 2008 much work was done at Oxford Street to bring the ground up to the respective grading standard and along with a new Chairman in the shape of Carl Stokes, a new committee was formed to move the Club forward.

A prestigious pre-season friendly was arranged, with newly promoted to The Championship Doncaster Rovers, coming to Oxford Street. A heavy defeat was overshadowed by the gate receipts that enabled the Club to start the new season on a financially sound footing. The Under 19 side was disbanded due to travelling expenses in their respective league and a decision to form an Under 17 side was made during the summer forging closer links with the Junior section that exists in the Village.

After a poor start to the 2008-09 season, which saw the 1st team languishing in the bottom three up to Christmas time on 17 points. A vast improvement saw them climb to 11th in the table with a 2nd highest ever points total of 43.

The 2nd team finished mid table and the under-17's came runners-up in both the league and cup to a very strong Bentley side.

Again during the summer of 2009 much work took place on the ground to freshen up the place and improve the facilities. The home dressing room was extended and the laundry room was moved.
