Boxing Day football is quickly upon us a Rosso make the short trip over to Maltby Main the day after Christmas.

After just three days since Rossington beat Golcar United at Oxford Street, Rosso are all set to make the journey to Rotherham against the relegation battling Miners.

The Miners interim managed by Jamie Smith currently find themselves in a relegation battle in the Northern Counties East League Premier as they constantly hover around the drop zone.

The battle between the two ‘Mains’ of the NCEL Premier is expected to be another exciting clash at Muglet Lane as Rosso will be looking to complete the league double over the Miners. Meanwhile, Maltby will be hoping for more of the same when the sides last met at Muglet Lane in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup over one year ago.

There is no further update in terms of injuries at Rosso. Jordan Buckham is unlikely to be back for the battle between the two ‘Mains,’ while there is also no further update on when Jamie Green will return to competitive action, despite featuring in a mid-season friendly last week. Captain Greg Young will be back available on boxing day after serving his one-match suspension.
