At last Rosso make their first of four home fixtures on the bounce as Ben Hunter’s side return to Oxford Street this Saturday to face Handsworth after securing back-to-back wins in the Northern Counties East League Premier.
Rossington make the return to Doncaster following an impressive midweek away victory over Penistone under the lights on Wednesday evening and after a defeat in the FA Vase second qualifying round away at Bottesford Town last weekend.
High-flying Handsworth travel to Rossington in fine form having started the season strong and currently sit near the top of the table and with games to spare.
While Rossington have had a mixed bag of results in what is still a positive start to their first ever campaign at Non-League step 5, Hunter’s side will be hoping to hit the ground running in the first of four consecutive home fixtures including Emley AFC, Albion Sports and Knaresborough Town.
Team News
Although, he did not make it back onto the pitch, Rosso were delighted to welcome Reiss Harrison back onto the bench on Wednesday evening after being out of the squad due to injury. Unfortunately, there is no further update on when all of Tyla Bell, Matthew Wilson, Jamie Green and Niall Doran will make their respective returns from injury.

Last Time Out v Handsworth
Back in the days when Handsworth operated under the name of Handsworth Paramore, Rosso came out winners on penalties last time the two sides met competitively in November 2018. Two goals for Rossington’s Lee Holmes cancelled out strikes from Handsworth’s Jed Phillips and Lee Cooksey. In front of 65 spectators at Oxford Street, Rosso would therefore advance into the fourth round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup fourth round after penalties.
