Rosso make the short-trip over to the once former Non-League top-flight side Frickley Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
Greg Young’s side head over to South Elmsall with the possibility of registering consecutive league wins for the first time this season in the Northern Counties East League Premier. All before next weekend’s trip to Cumbria in the second round proper of the Isuzu FA Vase.
The Blues managed by Martyn Woodford sit just two places and points above Rosso having played two games more than Young’s side. Frickley also have the chance to register back-to-back league wins for the first time the season as prior to a Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup round two victory, Frickley defeated Wombwell Town 0-2 on the road last time out.
Westfield Lane won’t be unfamiliar for our gaffer as before last season’s 4-0 defeat, Young won as a player here during our debut NCEL Premier campaign while also turning out for Frickley as both a player and a coach before he joined the club.

Last Time Out v Frickley
An afternoon to forget for Rosso back in early December 2024 when each of Robert Guilfoyle, Alhassane Keita, Jamie Thompson and former Rosso player Marcel Chipamunga all scored for Frickley to see Rossington defeated 4-0 at Westfield Lane.
