Rosso exit the Northern Counties East League JCP Construction Cup at the quarterfinal stage following an eight-goal encounter against The Beavers under the lights at Norwood Park.
Luka Suluburic gave The Beavers a three-goal lead at the interval after an impressive hat-trick inside the opening 30 minutes of the first-half.
Jacob Hill then put Beverley four in-front six minutes after the restart with a curling effort from outside of the box which finished in the top corner.
Despite Dylan Mantle narrowing the deficit for Rosso on the 67 minute with a speedy finish across goal, Beverley restored their four-goal advantage via Alex Knaggs. Two stoppage time consolation goals followed with Mantle confirming his brace and Brandon Murillo scoring his first goal for Rosso however, the damaged by that time had already been done.
The battle between Rosso and The Beavers got underway with both sides having good chances within the opening five minutes. Oliver Nowak came close inside the Beverley six-yard box before Cameron Connolly up the other end narrowly missed the far post on the counterattack.
After Rosso looked inches away from taking the lead as the ball trickled along the Beverley goal-line, waiting to be finished off by a man in red, up the other end Beverley’s captain James Piercy provided a fierce attempt on-goal however, an even better save from Leigh Overton in-between the sticks for Rosso.
Moments later The Beavers went one better and opened the scoring on the 16 minute with a well taken finish from Suluburic which headed into the bottom right corner.
After Overton made another crucial save, Beverley continued to threaten and on the 21 minute they stretched their lead to two with Suluburic finding the heart of the goal once again.
Rosso’s first half got even worse as Beverley’s Suluburic secured the match ball by completing his hat-trick three minutes later.
After it was a first-half to forget for Rosso, Beverley continued to try and extend their lead but both Overton and player manager Greg Young was there tow provide two important stops on Rosso’s goal-line.
On the 51 minute, Beverley had a fourth with substitute Hill emitting a curling effort into the top right-hand corner of the Rosso goal.
Rosso found the game’s fifth goal 16 minutes later as development player Oliver Bowes who made his first team debut from the bench did quality to assist Mantle who found the far corner.
Knaggs re-extended Beverley’s four-goal advantage soon after with a pin-point finish inside Rossington’s penalty box.
With the outcome of Rosso exiting the cup all but confirmed, Mantle marked his brace with a stunning dinked finish into the top right content which followed with Murillo scoring his first goal in a Rosso shirt via the final touch of the game.
In front 127 spectators at Norwood Park the referee’s whistle come straight after with a sixth semi-final in four seasons not to be for Doncaster’s highest ranked Non-League side.
