Rosso are back on the road this Saturday for their second consecutive weekend away from home as Ben Hunter’s side travel to Scunthorpe on Non-League Day.
Following last Saturday’s victory away at Frickley Athletic, Rosso make the trip to the Barrett Steel Stadium with back-to-back wins under their belt and currently hold the final play-off place in the Northern Counties East League Premier standings.
After a narrow one-goal defeat away at Rossington near the end of last month and followed by a heavy defeat to Garforth, March has seen a big change for The Poachers having beaten both Hallam and Maltby Main before a last-minute equaliser against Thackley on Saturday kept their unbeaten run to three games.
This Saturday’s fixture between The Poachers and Rosso will be the third of the season having seen Bottesford narrowly beat Rossington in the FA Vase second qualifying round 2-1 of which Rossington hit back with a 1-0 home victory in the NCEL Premier just under a month ago. In terms of league standings, there is ten places, 24 points and one game in hand in favour of fifth place Rossington and 15th place Bottesford.
