Rosso host The Wellers under the lights at Oxford Street this Tuesday in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup round two.

Rossington Main reached round two last time around having been sent out of the competition by Maltby Main however, Ben Hunter’s side came close to reaching the final the previous year having been narrowly defeated to Worksop Town.

Wombwell have made an impressive start in the Northern Counties East League Division One, which is the division lower than Rosso. As a result, Karl Rose’s side sit strongly at the top of the table.

The winner of this tie will host Worksop Town in round three, the highest ranked side in the competition who pile their trade at Non-League step 3 in the Northern Premier League. Not only are The Tigers going strong in the league this season, but Worksop have also qualified for the Emirates FA Cup first round where they will travel to EFL League 2 Stockport County in November.

Rossington were delighted to see new signings Jim Pollard and Mitch Langton feature straight away in last Saturday’s victory at home to Knaresborough Town. Liam Nelthorpe was back on the bench after being out injured while Development player Damian Wieczorek also made an appearance.

While the gaffer may make some changes for this cup fixture, long-term injured Tyla Bell, Jamie Green, Matthew Wilson and Niall Doran will almost certainly sit this one out once again.

Tickets for this fixture are available to be purchased on the gate at Oxford Street for both home and away supporters. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. Limited parking is available inside the stadium but operates under a first come first serve basis. All visitors must refrain from parking on Oxford Street if the designated car park at the ground is at maximum capacity. Additional parking is available at the Miners Welfare car park or on West End Lane. The kick-off time for this game is 19:45.
