Rossington are back on the road this Saturday as Ben Hunter’s side head north to Harrogate.
Main will be hoping to secure their third consecutive win in the Northern Counties East League Division One if they were to overcome a well-organised The Rail side.
Two cup exits in the space of three days ended a strong run of form in October for the side managed by Mick O’Connell. The Rail then shared the points between Beverley Town and Horbury Town before returning to winning ways on Saturday with a narrow one-goal victory over Ollerton Town.
The stage is set for a near-top of the table clash as third place Rossington look to close in on Horbury Town above them in the table while also extending the gap between fourth placed The Rail who sit directly below in the NCEL. Main fans will be pleased to hear that Rossington have won all of their last three head-to-head matches with The Rail.
Team News
Rossington were pleased to welcome back Reuben Brewin-Hawkins late on in Saturday’s three-goal victory over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic however, Henry Tyers and Louis Thwaites will most likely miss out again this Saturday.
Jordan Buckham is unfortunately added to the long-term injury list with a minimum of eight weeks until he can start his recovery process. This situation does remain the same for long-term injured Matthew Wilson, Jack Watson, Cameron Barnett and Niall Doran who will all continue to remain on the sidelines for this fixture.

Last Time Out v Harrogate
Rossington scored at the death to complete an emphatic double over The Rail in the NCEL Division One last season. Brad Grayson struck gold with a world-class long-range effort in the dying stages of injury time. Grayson’s strike near enough confirmed a place in the play-offs as it proved to be the all-important goal in front of 130 spectators at Station View in late March.
