Rossington will be hoping to emulate last Saturday’s performance this weekend as Main welcome the Welfare to Oxford Street.
Main return to league action with lifted spirits having seen off Parkgate in brutal style with a six-goal strike rate at home last weekend in the FA Vase. Main also delivered a convincing win against the Steelmen in the game before which was in the Northern Counties East League Division One.
Glasshoughton have had a grim start to the season and find themselves currently in the bottom three. The Castleford based side managed by Lee Vigars lost their opening five games in the division but did put three points on the board last time out with a three-goal victory over Ollerton Town.
Rossington boast the better head-to-head record over the Welfare as Main have won three of their last five meetings with Glasshoughton, losing just once and drawing on one occasion also. Three points for Ben Hunter’s Blue Army could lift Rossington into second place.
Team News
Rossington welcomed back Harry Sheppeard on Saturday as he recovered from his recent injury. Main did lose Henry Tyers once again as he exited the field after 45 minutes. Greg Young and Matthew Wilson are also uncertain to feature.
Gary Mundy is available after completing his eight-game suspension but Reiss Harrison, Dec Slater, Ross Hannah and Tyla Bell will most likely not feature due to injury. The situation remains the same for Jack Watson, Cameron Barnett and Niall Doran who will all continue to remain on the sidelines due to their long-term injuries.
