Following the Emirates FA Cup first round qualifying draw made on Monday afternoon, we are looking forward to hosting Northern Premier League FC United of Manchester at the Kalkut’s Community Stadium on Saturday 30th August, kick-off 3pm.
This will be our first ever meeting with FC United, England’s largest fully fan-owned football club. Formed in 2005, they climbed as high as the National League North as recently as 2019, and have enjoyed notable FA Cup runs, reaching the second round proper in 2010, and also the first round in both 2015 and 2020. The latter came during the Covid-19 pandemic, where they were beaten behind closed doors by our city’s professional side Doncaster Rovers.
After our 4-1 victory over Moulton in the extra preliminary round and a 3-2 win against Newark Town in last weekend’s preliminary round, our third straight home tie in this year’s FA Cup marks only the eighth time we have reached this stage in the 40 campaigns of our 106-year history.
We’re delighted to also continue providing affordable football as ticket prices will remain the same for this fixture. Ticket prices for our Emirates FA Cup first round qualifying at home against FC United of Manchester are as follows:
£6 - Adult
£4 - Concession (65+)
£3 - Under-18
Due to the high levels of interest this tie has already generated, hospitality and mascot packages won’t be going on general sale on our website and will instead be managed by our head of media. Please contact j.ciullo@yahoo.co.uk if interested.
Both sets of supporters are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets online to save time and ensure quicker access through the turnstiles at the Kalkut’s Community Stadium. While pay-on-the-gate will still be available on the day, the club advises buying in advance due to the expected busyness of matchday. Tickets can be bought online HERE.
Following a sell-out last time out, our popular ROSSO matchday programme is also available to pre-purchase online HERE. As with tickets, we recommend securing your copy of issue #5 in advance to avoid disappointment, with any remaining copies on sale at the ground on matchday. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
For this fixture matchday parking system 2 will be in operation as the car park at the Kalkut's Community Stadium will be for players, officials and disabled only. Parking will be available at the adjacent The Welfare, West End Lane or on Grange Lane. From here supporters can walk along West End Lane and down Oxford Street, or across The Welfare Station fields to the Kalkut's Community Stadium. Learn more about our parking by clicking HERE.
We are located approximately 5½ miles from Doncaster train station. Public transport options, such as buses, can be taken from Doncaster Interchange (next to the train station). Services run along West End Lane, where you can get off and walk down Oxford Street to reach the Kalkut’s Community Stadium.
With just 8 days to go until our second appearance of the 21st century in the first round qualifying, secure your tickets and programmes now!
We’re looking forward to another busy Kalkut’s Community Stadium and hopefully, a record-breaking crowd for what promises to be another affordable and exciting day of football for all.
Up The Rosso!
