Rossington Main chairman Daniel Linstrum spoke to the media to give his festive greetings before Christmas Day.

Linstrum said: "Dear Supporters and everyone connected to Rossington Main FC. I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."

"To all club committee members, our team of volunteers who all work tirelessly for the football club I would like to thank you all for your time, and commitment to all the important roles that you all provide for our club."

"To all our sponsors and club partners I thank you all for backing us and believing in us and supporting us on and off the field."

"To our Management teams, players, and medical staff I personally thank you all for your dedication to the roles and for the full commitment you all give week in week out."

"To all our supporters, your support has been greatly appreciated through what has been a tough year, for many in the current economic climate and I’ve said this before, but our supporters are truly fantastic and when we all come together, as a club, and show up in mass we are a formidable force."

"There is nothing better than watching any of our teams play in front of a packed Oxford Street so again I am asking you all to get down on match days and support the teams."

"2022 saw as promised the addition of our female team and Andy and Dan are working really hard to get them ready to enter the league for the 2023/24 season."

"Tom Harte’s seconds remain strong and again competitive in their league."

"Ben Hunter's first team continue to play a great brand of football and fighting at the top end of the league and as we head into the festive period occupying one of the playoff positions."

"2023 will see no let up in mine or the club’s ambitions and we have some exciting things planned and I will detail these plans in more detail in the new year."

"Finally for those traveling to Ollerton on the 27th I will see you there and a couple of other dates for the diary our seconds have a home game under the lights on the evening of the 28th in the Sheffield Cup so I hope to see a good turnout for this and then I am looking for another huge crowd for the first team in our New Years Eve clash against Athesley Rec."

"Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year "
