Rossington are back at home this Saturday as they host Tadcaster Albion who dropped down to the Northern Counties East League Premier after relegation last year.
Ben Hunter’s side return to Doncaster following a 3-2 away defeat at high-flying Campion AFC at Manningham Mills last Saturday on Remembrance Day.
The Brewers dropped down from Non-League’s step 4’s Northern Premier League East Division and returned to the NCEL Premier for the first time since achieving promotion out of it back in 2016.
Tadcaster’s manager Mick O’Connell and Hunter have had some great battles in the past as both Rosso and Harrogate Railway Athletic battled it out all last season for the second NCEL Division One promotion spot. Following the latter losing in the semi-final and with Rosso winning the play-offs, O’Connell swapped The Rail for The Brewers and so a familiar fixture is expected.
Team News
Rossington Main were delighted to welcome back Greg Young into the Starting XI last Saturday as well as Tyla Bell who returned from a lengthy injury onto the bench. It is still unclear when Matthew Wilson, Niall Doran and Jamie Green will be back fully fit however, the latter is looking a lot closer.

Last Time Out v Tadcaster
An exciting eight-goal thriller ended in a draw last time the two sides met in a competitive fixture back in mid-December of 2009, just under 14 years ago. Jake Vernon scored a brace and Carl Hastie and Stuart Rogers also got on the scoresheet for Rosso however, a hat-trick from Tadcaster’s Darren Brandon and a Rosso own-goal by Sean Nicholls saw the NCEL Division One fixture finish 4-4 in front of 41 spectators at Tadcaster.
