Rossington Main will be looking to respond from a midweek defeat in the Northern Counties East League Premier as Rosso travel to Goole on Saturday.
Doncaster’s highest ranked Non-League side were defeated by a narrow one-goal margin against Silsden AFC on Tuesday evening under the lights, making it two home league defeats in a row in Rosso’s debut season at step 5 of the Non-League ladder.
Goole were extremely fortunate to keep their status at Non-League step 5 as despite The Vikings getting relegated last time out, Goole were given a relegation reprieve after Hemsworth Miners Welfare were dismissed from the NCEL over issues with their pitch size.
Despite two home defeats in the league for Rossington, Main marked their first away day of 2023/24 with a solid victory away at Pickering Town last week as Ben Hunter’s side will be hoping for more of the same in their second away day of the new season.
Team News
Rossington welcomed back Cameron Hough from injury in Tuesday’s midweek defeat to the Sils while captain Greg Young is the next excepted to make a return. It is unclear of when both Matthew Wilson and Cody Prior will return from injury while long-term injured Niall Doran will remain on the sidelines. Reiss Harrison is the newest addition to the increasing injury worries for Rosso as he is awaiting feedback of the seriousness of his injury picked up in the FA Cup victory over Leicester Nirvana last weekend.

Last Time Out v Goole
