Rosso return to Oxford Street for their first home evening fixture of the 2023/24 season after a convincing victory in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary round at the weekend.
Ben Hunter’s side return to the Rossington surface following a 4-1 home victory against Leicester Nirvana after the club made a return into football’s oldest competition after an 11-year absence.
Silsden make the trip to South Yorkshire after an FA Cup exit and will be in search of their first points of the season following two opening defeats one at home to Albion Sports which kickstarted the Northern Counties East League Premier last Friday and then a midweek defeat at home to Knaresborough Town.
Tuesday evening’s fixture will be Rossington’s first midweek home game of the new campaign while it will also be The Cobbydalers first away fixture of the new season.

Last Time Out v Silsden
Rossington were defeated on penalties last time the two sides met back in the summer of 2011 which was 12 years ago this month. After a 1-1 draw three days prior in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary round, Rossington staged the replay at Oxford Street. Andy Lee gave The Cobbydalers the lead inside the second-half before Lee Holmes levelled it up. John Douglas then restored Silsden’s lead ten minutes into extra time before Liam Charlton levelled the scoreline again a minute later. After 210 minutes of football in the space of three days, it wasn’t to be for Rosso as The Cobbydalers won 2-4 on penalties and advanced into the next round.
