Following Saturday’s season opener, Rossington’s first away day of the season is a fair midweek trip to North Yorkshire to face Pickering at Mill Lane.
Rossington head into the midweek trip to Pickering after what felt like a narrow defeat in their opening game of 2023/24 which marked Main’s first ever season at Non-League step 5 in the Northern Counties East League Premier.
The Pikes return to the NCEL following a five-year absence after coming down from Non-League step 4 in the Northern Premier League last season.
Both sides will be looking to pick up their first points of the campaign after being beaten both by two-goal margins in their respective opening fixtures at the weekend.
Team News
Rossington Main will still most likely be without defensive trio Matthew Wilson, Greg Young and Cameron Hough for the midweek trip to North Yorkshire. Still suspended Cody Prior and injured Harry Sheppeard also look set to miss the second fixture of the season meanwhile, long-term injured Niall Doran will continue to remain on the sidelines.
