We're delighted to confirm that our manager Ben Hunter and assistant manager Mick Fraser have committed to leading us in our first ever season in the Northern Counties East League Premier, after getting us promoted to step 5 of the Non-League period last campaign.

The pair achieved our highest ever finish as we ended up third in the NCEL Division One table of which we qualified for the end of season play-offs for the second year running. Two home victories over Wakefield AFC and Horbury Town FC saw us list the trophy in front of 1,164 spectators at Oxford Street and as a result gained promotion.

Rossington Main manager Hunter said: "It’s been a great time over the last couple of years and I am very happy to commit for another season to a club that is very close to my heart."

"I was so happy to be able to be part of the incredible season last campaign, both on and off the field. To earn promotion through the play-offs in front of a crowd close to 1,200 supporters was the perfect way for it to finish."

"The volunteers that run this club deserved that bit of success and we will be doing our best as a coaching staff and playing group to have another successful season next year."

Hunter also thanked his assistant and close-friend Fraser for his efforts in his first season back in the dugout at Oxford Street.

"A special thanks also goes to Mick my assistant manager, he always goes over and above. He is always the first to arrive and the last to leave and I’m therefore delighted that he (and his cap) will also be back next season."

"Thanks to everyone for all the support. We go again now!"

Preparations will now begin ahead of our first ever campaign in the NCEL Premier. Stay tuned for updates on all the pre-season details which will soon follow.
