Biography

The creative deep-lying midfielder spent five years as a professional for Doncaster Rovers between 2012 and 2017 after successfully coming through the Rovers' youth academy system. Middleton soon established himself firmly into the heart of the Rovers midfield and helped secure promotion out of the ELF League Two in 2017 under manager Darren Ferguson. Middleton moved away from Doncaster the following season signing a one-year contract for Port Vale who were also in step 4 of the overall Football League pyramid. After another season as a professional, which included a loan spell to Halifax Town, Middleton was released on the expiry of his contract in the summer of 2018. Following spells with various clubs in Non-League, the midfielder joined up with Doncaster's highest ranked Non-League side and made his debut in a 5-0 home win against Goole mid-way through August 2024.
