The defender was amongst the five new signings made by Greg Young in October 2024 when he was announced as permanent Rossington Main manager. Thomas had impressed during his time within the Spireites' academy setup of which he was awarded a first-team start, playing 45 minutes in Chesterfield's 2-0 away defeat in the FA Trophy against Welling United in January 2024.
