Rosso arrive back home to face The Beavers for the second time in the space of just four days following Tuesday night’s Northern Counties East League JCP Construction Cup quarterfinal defeat at Norwood Park.
Doncaster’s highest ranked Non-League side return to NCEL Premier action hoping to extend their four game unbeaten league run after two draws against Silsden AFC and Thackley, followed with convincing victories over Albion Sports and Barton Town last weekend.
The Beavers make the trip from the East Riding of Yorkshire sitting just outside of the current NCEL Premier play-off places in what is a brilliant first campaign so far at Non-League step 5. Prior to the midweek cup clash, David Ricardo’s side boosted their play-off chances with a priceless three points at home last weekend after beating fellow top-five chasers Pickering Town 1-0 in front of 424 spectators.
In the three league head-to-head meetings between the pair, Rosso have the better record with two wins and a draw against The Beavers. Rosso fans will be hoping for more of the same after the last time Beverley made the trip to Rossington back in 2023 during in the promotion winning campaign of which, saw the score end 6-0 in Rosso’s favour and included a fabulous Ross Hannah hat-trick.
