Our next game of the NCEL Premier Division season sees Rosso host Thackley at Oxford Street as Main aim to maintain their unbeaten league run.
The win over Dearne & District in the last league clash places them just four points outside the play-off picture with games in hand over teams above.
The last few games have seen Ben Hunter and Greg Young pick from a squad bolstered by the attacking additions of Rob Guilfoyle and Mohssen Mohamed with both players contributing to goals in the 4-0 victory.
Rosso will be without Mohamed, however, after the winger was shown a red card after the final whistle of the FA Vase defeat to Durham United.
The Dearne game also marked the first time the joint managers named an unchanged XI this season in the wake of taking all three points at Campion, as the team begins to settle following a summer of changes to personnel.
Thackley have been a staple of the NCEL Premier, having competed at the level for the last 44 years, but The Dennyboys currently sit 16th with only a two-point buffer to the drop zone having finished 18th the year prior.
Jamie Price’s young team have lost their last three games and are winless in four. Their two wins so far this campaign have come against Campion and Parkgate, but they are yet to record their first three points on unfamiliar territory.
Although results have not been forthcoming, Thackley have produced some battling performances, but have been unable to convert the chances into the goals needed to put more points on the board.
A ten-day break from their 5-0 defeat at Retford United will have given the visitors a good opportunity to reset and sharpen their minds as they look ahead to a six-game slate throughout the rest of October.
Despite their early season struggles, both Marcel Stepniewski and Luke Brooks remain strong attacking threats, accounting for 11 of Thackley’s 17 goals thus far.
The last meeting between the sides saw Rosso come out on top in a 3-1 away win where Dylan Mantle, Ross Hannah and Silas Valladolid-Collins all featured in the scoring to move Main off level points with Horbury Town in 19th, last November.
