Non-League Day returns to Rossington for the first time since 2023

For the first time in three years, Rossington Main will be at home on national Non-League Day!

Following this Saturday’s fixture, Rosso’s next first-team home game will see us welcome Frickley Athletic to the Kalkut's Community Stadium on Saturday 28 March 2026 for a 3pm kick-off. The match will mark a special occasion for the club as we celebrate the national day dedicated to supporting Non-League football.

In recent seasons, national Non-League Day has seen Rossington Main on the road having played away at Bottesford Town the last couple of years.

In 2025, Rosso claimed an impressive 2–3 victory in front of just 93 spectators. A brace from Ross Hannah alongside a goal from Oliver Nowak secured all three points on the day.

The year before, in 2024, it was another successful trip to The Poachers. A Lewis Archer brace helped Rossington Main to a 0–2 win, played in front of 141 supporters.

The last time Rosso celebrated national Non-League Day on home soil came in 2023, and it proved to be a huge afternoon in the club’s promotion push. On that occasion, Rossington Main defeated fellow Harrogate Railway Athletic 2–0 in what was a key clash in the Northern Counties East League Division One promotion race. Goals from Hannah and Brad Grayson secured the win in front of 312 spectators at the Kalkut’s Community Stadium.

That victory helped build vital momentum for Rosso as the club went on to secure promotion, while The Rail were eliminated in the play-offs.

With the upcoming clash against Frickley Athletic also representing our third-to-last home league game of the regular league season, the stage is set for another big day in Rossington for Ben Hunter and Greg Young’s Rossington Main side.

Supporters can pre-purchase tickets online HERE ahead of the match, while pay-on-the-gate will also be available as usual for those who prefer to buy on arrival at the stadium.

Let’s get behind the lads and create a bumper crowd to celebrate national Non-League Day and support the team in another huge game of football.
