Looking to put things right on saturday

Rossington Main manager Ben Hunter on last nights game at Worsbrough Bridge and looking towards Saturday’s game against Campion.

“Obviously really disappointed with pretty much everything about the performance tonight. We had maybe 3 players that could leave the pitch with any sort of pride. We had a good foothold in the game but we can’t afford to continually make mistakes defensively. When you go away from home and score 2, you expect to get a result. Credit to Worsbrough, they had a game plan on a poor pitch that we couldn’t cope with, there was no ownership or willingness from our players to win their individual battles from the long throws especially and hopefully the experience will act as a wake up call for the boys.
It’s one game of football, and our first loss in 7 games, but we aren’t where we need to be and it’s up to me and my team to find a solution. The league is very tight so a couple of wins puts us back in contention for the top 10.
To be honest I am most gutted for the fans who came out and had to witness that first half performance.
The positive is that we have a quick turnaround now and can look to put things right against Campion and we can see what kind of characters we have in the dressing room”.
