From chairman Daniel Linstrum: Following our recent results and discussions over the past few days, the club is delighted to confirm that Ben Hunter will be returning to the football club as Joint First Team Manager, taking a leading role in supporting the group and helping guide the team through this crucial period, working with Greg until the end of the season.

As part of this change Mick Fraser will also be returning as a fitness coach. The standards at this football club are higher than what we have delivered so far this year. However, now is the time for everyone connected with the club to come together and focus fully on getting ourselves out of the position we find ourselves in.

After speaking at length with both Greg and Ben over the last couple of days, I firmly believe this gives us the best possible chance to steady things and fight our way out of the current situation. Now is not the time to dwell on what has happened or feel sorry for ourselves. Our focus must be on rolling our sleeves up and getting the job done.

Ben, as we all know, is a Rossington lad and the most successful manager in the club’s history, so I am absolutely delighted, and with no hesitation, he has agreed to return and help the club at this important time. His knowledge of the club, the players, and the community will be invaluable over the final stretch of the season.

Right now, let me be clear, there is only one focus, being the final nine games of the season. I want every player, every member of staff, and every supporter to get fully behind Ben and Greg as we fight together to turn things around. We all have a part to play, and with everyone pulling in the same direction, we will give ourselves the best possible chance of finishing the season strongly.
