Rossington Main FC are delighted to confirm the appointment of Lee Briggs as our new permanent Ladies First Team Manager.
Lee joins the club with a wealth of experience across both the men’s and women’s game, having managed and coached at various levels including York City Ladies, Huddersfield Town Women, Wakefield Trinity Ladies, and Wakefield AFC. With a UEFA B Licence, multiple promotions, and a proven commitment to developing players, Lee’s track record, ambition, and coaching pedigree make him a hugely exciting addition to Rossington Main ladies.
Rossington Main chairman Daniel Linstrum said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Lee to Rossington Main. His appointment underlines just how serious we are about growing and investing in our Ladies Division. From my very first conversation with him, it was clear that Lee doesn’t do things by half and when he commits, he commits fully. That passion, professionalism, and drive for success are exactly what we want at this football club, and I am confident our players, supporters, and wider community will quickly feel the energy and ambition he brings with him.”
Lee Briggs (new) ladies first-team manager said: “After speaking to the Chairman several times over the past week about the role and the club’s ambitions following last year’s promotion, I knew straight away that this was an exciting opportunity. I can’t wait to get started, to help the club move forward, and I will give it absolutely everything.”
We ask everyone connected with the club to get right behind Lee as he takes the team forward. The future of our Ladies First Team is bright, and this appointment is the next step in a journey we’re determined to succeed in together.
The club would like to place on record it’s sincere thanks to Jack McKay, who is unable to commit to the role due to work and his own career aspirations. We wish him every success for the future. Jack has done a fantastic job in guiding the team in recent months and remains committed to supporting the transition. His contribution has been greatly valued, and he will always be welcome at Rossington Main.
